Tbilisi City Festival - TBILISOBA

Tbilisi City Festival - "Tbilisoba" was first held in 1979, in renovated streets of Old Tbilisi. Since then, every year, it is celebrated at the last weekend of October in Old Tbilisi.

It is possible to see phaetons in the middle of central roads on Tbilisoba.

The main centre of the celebration is Abanotubani (District of Baths), which is well known with its hot thermal (sulphur) baths and "kisa", special massage.

All over the Abanotubani there are traditional Georgian crafts, art exhibitions and traditional Georgian food with good Georgian wine...

Georgien ethnic music is heard everywhere...

It is usual to see "painted" girls this day :-)

Nice handmade things are sold...

Craftsman explaining how this violet is made...

Some views of Abanotubani, the preserved oldest part of Tbilisi

This day you can even pretend as if you are the part of Pirosmani's masterpiece :-)
